Fix Golf Slice Tip One – The Set-up.
One of the more common reasons for the slice shot making a regular appearance on the golf course is the set-up. At address, you need to be aligned towards the target. Ideally, you should aim you left shoulder directly towards the target.
This is absolutely essential because even if the shoulder is placed slightly out of line, the ball can turn into a banana (the flight starting from left of the target and then bending in a dramatic fashion to the right). Always take a few seconds to become aware, prepare, and set yourself up correctly.
Fix Golf Slice Tip Two – The Grip.
The way you grip the club can be a big factor in hitting the ball straight or hitting it so it bends to the right. When you are set-up, take a second to look down at your grip. If you are using the correct grip technique, you should see two knuckles on your left hand being clearly prominent. If you can’t see a raise in any of the knuckles, your grip is incorrect. Take a few seconds to make some changes so that two knuckles on your left hand are clearly visible.
While I am talking about the grip, it’s also worth making sure you are not choking the club (holding it too tight) or holding it too loosely. Both of these problems can cause problems with the release on impact. You want to hold the club in a neutral position. Practice until you find the sweet spot.
Fix Golf Slice Tip Three – The Hip Turn.
If you are not using a full range of movement from the hips on the downswing, you may have trouble stiking with the clubface square to the target. To recfity this, make certain you are following through properly, on the balls of your feet.
Fix Golf Slice Tip Four – The Swing.
Too often players try to hit the ball as hard as they can by speeding up their swing without paying any attention to the effect it will have on accuracy. If you try to muscle the club, this will usually result in your muscles tensing up too much and an over involvement from the hands. Both of these actions can cause issues with the clubface at impact. To fix this work on slowing down the swinging movement so on impact the clubface should be be square, not open or closed.

Fix Golf Slice Tip Five – The Head.
“Keep the head down”. I am sure you have heard this advice hundreds of times before. But do you know why so many coaches preach this rule? Because it’s absolutely essential to hitting the ball straight, that’s why!
Keep your head down thoughout the entire movement from start to finish. Only lift your head up after you have followed through completely. This one small change is enough to fix golf slice problems almost instantly. So it’s definitely worth following this simple advice to keep your head down!
